After graduating from high school in Japan I went to Florence, Italy and attended Studio Art Centers International (SACI). I continued my art training at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where I received a liberal arts degree with a major in art.

Before becoming an illustrator I worked as a television news camera person for Fuji Television in Tokyo, Japan.

I am currently a full-time illustrator working on projects related to, for and about children, including books, magazines, and logo design.
